Norbu and Kinley

Here’s a picture of Norbu and his brother, Kinley on their 12-week birthday. We took a hike yesterday with Chuck and Joann and both the pups kept up just great.

Home at last.

Well, Karma’s found a great country home just up the road and Norbu’s getting used to being the only puppy in the house. He’s growing like a weed and seems to really be thriving on the new dog food we started feeding him last week - Natural Balance.

Here’s a picture of Norbu and his mom from last week.

Looking for good Karma?

Here she is! Karma is our last pup still up for adoption. Two families who expressed interest in adopting her couldn’t do it at the last minute, so we’re thinking that the third time’s going to be a charm.

And speaking of charm… Karma is a delight. Spunky and smart and great with kids and other dogs. Please let us know if you or somebody you know might be able to provide her with lots of love in a great home.

Snow puppies

Yesterday, we got our yearly snow day at the same time as the evening puppy rodeo on the front lawn. Mom, Dad and the four remaining pups had a blast playing in the snow. Here’s some video. (Quicktime, 35 sec., 1.7 MB)

One pup left.

All the pups but one have been spoken for now, and four have gone to their new families. Reports are coming in daily and the reviews are glowing. If you’d like to make sure you don’t miss out on adding this kind of puppy-happiness to your home, get in touch with us soon.

I’d post a pic of the one we have left, but since two people have yet to pick theirs out, we don’t exactly know who that pup is. But like I’ve told everyone, there are no bad choices. All these pups are healthy, sweet and would make great additions to any dog-friendly family.

Puppy portraits

We took a few portrait shots of some of the pups yesterday on their 7 week birthday. You can see them on the slideshows page.

Here’s one of Karma, the girl we’re we were going to keep.

After thinking about it over the weekend, we decided a male would probably fit better into our pack and we were just as excited about keeping Norbu, so we’ve decided to look for another great home for Karma.

Puppy weights - Week 7

We did a puppy weighing this morning for Uncle Grant in New Zealand. We had to weigh them on the bathroom scale, since they’ve gotten so big, so these weights are only accurate to within 1/2 a pound.

  • Tashi - 11 lbs.
  • Dokyhi - 12 lbs.
  • Karma - 12 lbs.
  • Tshering - 12 lbs.
  • Norbu (the Enormous) - 16.5 lbs.
  • Dorji - 12 lbs.
  • Ashi - 13 lbs.

Looking for a few good homes

A few of the people who had reserved a pup have backed out, and we’re looking for good homes for two or three of our pups. There will more than likely be at least one male and one female available. Please let us know if you’re interested by using the contact form. We’ll get back in touch with you shortly.

Slideshows

We uploaded a few slideshows of the pups to the web site last weekend. You can click on the ‘Slideshows’ tab at the top of any page to see the photos. We’ll try to add some more pictures this week.
