This box is too small!

The kids are getting eager to get out of the whelping box and explore. Dorji’s the only one that’s actually made it over the side so far…

Naptime

Here’s a short movie of naptime in the whelping box. We started weaning them onto a thin mixture of goat milk and blended puppy kibble yesterday. They love it. Every time they finish eating, they play for 15 minutes and then fall asleep for a few hours.

Norbu at 2.5 weeks

Puppy Fight!

They’re 2 1/2 weeks old and just starting to rumble… Last weekend they opened their eyes and in the last few days, they’ve all started walking. (Quicktime, 44 sec., 2 MB)

Lhamo, our female Tibetan Mastiff, is going in for a sonogram on Thursday to confirm her pregnancy and give a ballpark estimate of the pup headcount. Looks like she’s somewhere around two weeks away from her due date. I’ll have an update here after we get the results – probably on Friday.
